Toluene is another option but either way... for a regular DD, maybe consider running a premium/super mix ?

Is that the same stuff found in paint thinners? I think I read somewhere it will damage hoses and rubber stuffies. (open to correction)

your guess is as good as mine.Rx wrote:somebody explain how the Tiida make that list
daymean wrote:If you are looking at water meth kits Aquamist is best, you can tap into your IDC and have the controller spray proportional to your IDC. You can do this and basically have A ratio of meth injected per gas used, this won't require much if any tuning if a the right size jet is used.

not only a repost but it's misinformation that's AKI rating not RON
X2 wrote:Didnt we beat the octane topic to death before ?
Tnt numbers are ron, same as europe and japan, however, our gas is not similar quality. My original Honda ecu ran my civic just fine on usa aki 89 pump octane (regular in the states) and all but exploded when i poured in tnt super at 92ron.
I would figure that local super is closer to 85 or 86 pump octane if using (r+m)/2 method....if you have a car that can run on that without issue...then like yuhself.

agreed. possibly mistakenly came to the conclusion that the higher the CR, the higher the ignition advance.jnqaz wrote:wagonrunner wrote:9.8 and 9.9 CR's. thought the cutoff was at 10.
Compression ratio doesnt hold as much of a priority as igniton advance when it comes to fuel octane.
X2 wrote:Alot of lips smacking about people who wasting money on premium... it's like ppl think super gas is actually anywhere near the octane needed for modern cars. 92RON is not acceptable for MANY new cars... even my sub 10:1 compression, my lancer cannot run on super without pinging badly... on super, timing must be pulled enough to avoid pinging, but it then starts to consume gas at a ridiculous rate and experiences significant power loss... not worth running super.
