Nothing at all I can do? I had a friend with a 9860 who had the same issue and he got the OS reloaded, guy charged him $450 and it was running as normal again.. That's why I thought this at least had a chance..

disclaimer: i accept no responsibility for what jonathon is about to do. everything he does to his blackberry is at his own risk.

good luck tho. is sheit like this make me skeptical about buying a 9900/9930 or any other os7 device.

Hahaha I've messed with a lot of these so I know my way around them.

BBSak just isn't connecting to the phone to begin with.

JL_Cmder isn't connecting as well

App loader is detecting and attempting to load the OS but it's getting stuck at reconnecting to JVM

So no one got a fix for it? I need a blackberry so if I were to buy this for cheap, let's say $1000 it'd be worth it? It keeps getting stuck at 'Reconnecting JVM' no matter what I do.

In terms of hardware, what needs to be changed?

some of u guys with the bricked phones..dunno if this is any help to u. But about 2 weeks ago my 9900 went blank, white screen saying JVM error 545. Reloaded the OS and it was fine after. U will have no apps or contacts after.... once u're making use of BB protect or backing up otherwise the phone will be back to normal. no need to pay for anything jus reload the OS.

Best advice for y'all is to buy iPhones. Honest to God. In this day and age RIM shouldn't have people with so many bricked phones and no fix.

Hopefully they get their house in order for BB10 if you can wait that long.

Seems the self bricking is for certain models running os7. I find torch 9810 users don't complain as much as 9900/9930 users about this. I have a 9810 so far no self bricking yet either. It could be down to statistics though with more users owning 9900/9930s. *BB I dunno*

Nah this one doesn't even give an error. It just won't come on. No screen at all. While app loader is reloading the OS I'd get an error while it attempts to connect to the JVM and from there, there's no possible solution to get it to continue. Removing the battery etc etc doesn't work at all :/

Or Androids lol.. Windows Phone isn't that bad as well. BlackBerry users should be used to a lack of apps :D

It's killing me watching a 9900 just wasting away. Buy a decent android phone and a 8520/9300 or something if you NEED BBM.

I have found the solution for this. My 9930 had the same problem. Full white screen. Phone not connecting to reload software. Crackberry didnt give a solution either. Neither could Google.

First... Put on FUN - Some Nights on repeat.

Then open Desktop Manager with the phone plugged in (no battery)

When it asks to update, I'm hoping you have a password. Enter it incorrectly 10 times. The phone will wipe (yeah yeah... it will go right back to the factory setting).

Put in the battery. A white screen will appear and then the phone will begin to wipe completely. It will restart. A white screen with Error 513 will appear.

Reload the OS using Apploader. The phone WILL load the OS. Guaranteed.
