Doesn't make sense to be detailing every 2 days....

You won't be detailing every 2 days, but at least just washing. Could do weekend interior cleaning if you're in and out of the car often.
Try to choose products for the body of the vehicle that will last through the rain and exposure to the elements i.e. mostly sealants, or maybe AG HDWax.
That way you'll at least get a good month or more before you have to redo. And try to use some top up products every weekend or 2 weeks to stretch it a little longer. e.g. Detailers with mild sealants included, or a spray wax (AG aqua wax takes about 10mins to do an entire car and works well).

Good to see the surf city products arrived. Sorry I missed that intro though. Will check them out when I return...but I have other things to test first.

Prep work was
1.Auto Glym Intensive Tar remover
2. Meguiars Professional Clay bar Mild with Meguiars Last Touch
3. I used some Auto Glym Paint Renovator on some area that had random scratches
4. Removed some water marks with Cquartz Nano Fixer Polish with a Lake country foam wool pad & Flex Forced Rotation Dual Action Polisher XC 3401 VRG
5. Polished with AutoGlym Super Resin Polish
6. 2 layers of the Surf City Barrier Reef Wax.

Sounds good. Will give it a try. How did you do the layering? Short initial cure time, remove, wait a few hrs, then add another?

If they're very light you can try glass polishing. It is very very mild though and is more cleaner than actually cutting the glass. Then add a sealant and it'll at least work better.
If it's deep scratches or you really need to cut them out, I'd say you'd have to seek professional help for that. And even then, not sure how much they can really do.

So you just apply carefully and that's it? No clear coat on top?

i have some clear coat i put as well after it dries.
should not be noticeable once u dont overdo it and the color matches perfectly.
i only do this on the door edges. sometimes i open it too far in the garage and hit the garage wall.

on a hood, it may be really noticeable if its alot of spots.
u may want to contact a painter if its really bad.

Cool stuff. It's small chips. 1 to 2 mm max. Noone knows it's there but me but I was worried about seeing white primer (correct?) underneath so figure I should fix it lest it get out of hand a year down the road.

How much it will deteriorate will depend on where it is and what the vehicle material is in that location.

One on the right driver door, 2 on the bonnet, one on the leading edge of the front bumper. The bumper looks like painted abs or platic so I guess no worries. The other two should be metal underneath I believe.

Egads, well that'll need protection. I'd contact a painter if I were you though. Not that you need to reflash or anything, but even if you touching up you need to make sure it's dry and get some reasonable technique to make it less noticeable.

^^Are you kidding me? Really? A painter for a Paint chip. Good lord

Look, just get the paint code for your car Allergic (code should be on the vin plate, e.g. 01G, EB, ZFY etc etc), go to your nearest paint shop, and get the smallest portion you can mixed to that code..(PM me if you need help finding one near you)...might only cost you like 20 dollars for a few ml. Get a q-tip, and make a verrrryy tiny dab of paint on the spot. If you mess up, keep some rubbing alco handy just to dissolve excess paint on that spot.

And if you're really inept and have unsteady hands, practice on a piece of paper first.

MOst paint shops will also add a hint of clear into the touch up paint, just to make the final thing glossy. But, for a chip (which is small), chances are no one would notice it anyway if it's just the base coat alone.

It's really not that hard.

And if you're really worried, consider a kit from Langka (do a search on google). Expensive, but it works.

For one or two spots, DiY IMHO.

Thanks for the info. Not scared or anything just my first car so researching everything before I do it myself no matter how simple it may be. Have paint code for car. Thinking I'll get a touch up pen online. Already found several online.

I only scared for the installation of my reverse camera.
