this shows the fifference between the BRZ and the FR-S. Apprently they handle differently due to different shock and spring setups.

FR-S and 86 are the same?

Putting a 2J in this is going against the basic design philosophy, to have a lower center of gravity, and an engine pushed back into the firewall for better balance.

Allyuh fellas could spoil vomit yes. "put in a 2JZ".

Steups.

A more worthy improvement might be some Advan 140 TW tyres, Dunlop Direzza star spec, or Hankook RS-3's. And go to town on the Tumpuna road to Cumoto.

Sure its not a ej257?

Saw a white brz at a local roadcourse about a month ago.
For the "little power" it had, it sure did a good job keeping up with the corvettes and purpose built evos.
There is already some aftermarket support for the brz. Give it some more time and it will bountiful :bday:

In a year or two some reasonable ones should come up in Japanese auctions. Here is the Subaru variant for sale.

^^True, and an auto on a purists car like this could be viewed as a travesty.

However, Toyota has to make up sales numbers, and there are people who will buy this car just for the looks only (and have no idea of the driving intent)...lets face it.

And the automatic panders to those ppl.

That said, like I mentioned before, the automatic is one of the better units out there, according to C&D mag. They say it shifts almost as fast as a DSG, and even does "blipping"/revmatched downshifts just like the Evo's SST twin clutch/370Z's automatic.

The thing is a corrola as much as a lotus elise is a corolla for having a corolla engine or the elan a cortina for having a ford cortina engine.
