All mobile Carriers call HSPA+ and LTE 4G. There is no true standard that is deployed to deliver 4G.
LTE-Advanced is supposed to be 4G but we'd have to wait and see.

partially correct- there is no current standard that defines what 4G is. They were thinking about calling wiimax and the LTE 4G- giving it the definition of 4G- saying that data rates must reach XXXmbps and such in order to be called a 4G service.

don't forget access times/ping ;)

It's called latency :|

alright nah :|

Contacted Bmobile CSR this morning. The upgrade process apparently started later than scheduled so it won't be completed as originally announced. Things should be back to normal sometime today.

If you're willing to listen to a few minutes of poor quality music while you wait you can call them yourself.

My EDGE service has since returned however.

for those in the 'know' - will tstt still have the bzone '4G' hotspots after launch of the 4G network?

I'm not "in the know" but I'm pretty sure they will keep the bzone spots even after they launch their 4G

FaceTime on Maracas beach was epic - bzone FTW!!!

They will keep the Bzone, carriers normally offer Wi-Fi in high traffic areas. The Bzone should have come after but I guess it's how they're funding was approved.

I'm sure they'll keep it for offloading traffic in high density areas.

But I think their reason for launching bzone's were more along the lines of a quick response to Digicel's 3.9G since bmobile's 3.9G network was launching a few months after.

They are still doing upgrades so a lot of people will still have issues with their 4G TVs and other 4G devices till its sorted out ... Didn't get any info on a new deadline so I guess it's still the old deadline of sept-November

I got a test modem bcuz I am moving to Cleaver Woods Arima & wanted to see if I get a signal there- I get mostly an orange light & occasionally the green light- what does this mean? :|

can't connect to Internet as its only a test modem and it redirects to blinkbroadband4g.tstt.net.tt
