Basically mine, ment to have them adjusted because they are a bit tight (leaves marks) but I kinda dont want to because they stay on snug during football.

Ferreira Optical Price Plaza. That was in 2010. They dont sell them anymore because of the difficulties they had drilling the lenses without them cracking. I had to wait 2 months for my pair.
Regular wait time is 2 weeks for AR coating + transitions but every time they tried drilling them, the lenses cracked. And the lenses had to be imported since they dont do AR coating locally.

One month after getting them, the lenses started developing web cracks around where the frame attached to the lenses.
They had to do over the lenses for free and had them drilled in the US and then shipped here. Seems the person doing it here wasnt able
Since then no probs though. U have to be very gentle with them and go in to get them serviced (check screws, nuts, washers) every three months. Im due for one now.

If u do decide to go rimless, good luck bro, ull need it.
On the plus side, they look great and minimalistic with the AR coating.

frames for whatever reason are expensive, the ones you get <$500TT are of poor quality.

in my case, my lenses are so thick most metal frames cant fit my lenses and the ones that do are costly. I dont like those plastic frames.

I have a modest metal frame, bronze in colour. Looking to upgrade soon though.

Where do you guys recommend I go? I'm considering OT and Value Optical. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with them? Or Ferrierra Optical?

thus far OT had the best customer service but price wise not much different between them and Ferreira. Value opticals aight used them in my early years haven't been there for a bit but they had a fast turn over rate got my glasses From them in 7days

My previous pair was rimless. Since my prescription remained same I still use it. Only reason I got new frame was becos I wanted a change.

Any one of the stores have good advising on what frames suit your face type etc?

I looked at OT in Gulf City and they have mostly designer frames. Had a relative who got glasses with them and twice they called and push back date for collection and another time they said the lens got scratched so they sent it back to fix. In all took more than a month to get it.

my pair took a month also. im still saying thus far the customer service is up to mark. i just hope for the cost of my lens that if anything happens to them in the ist few months i have some recourse, i mean for sudden web cracking and the like...

my father had a pair. i dont really like them cuz the more u bend them, the faster the paint will start to flake. that happened to his last glasses. he never used to bend them on purpose, the frame had no hinges so u had to fold them to get them in a case.

i dont know if they improved on this flaking by now cuz that was a couple of years ago.

I passed near OT today and saw they had sign saying tht the prescription is theirs. So tht means they would do eye test but not give you your prescription if you wanted it?

I did a test at Value Optical recently and you needed to pay a fee if you wanted a takeaway prescription.

I've been wearing glasses over 10 years now. Rimless for about 8 years i think. I can't go back to rim frames  because of the weight. Sadly, with these rimless ones, the lenses always tend to break or some crap. I decided this rounds to buy from OT a pair of perry ellis so in case i get issues ill just get them to change. I was looking at the airlock brand ones but according to OT, they stopped stocking them because "it not in style" :|
Recently I had to give contacts a run because my glasses broke and was awaiting a new pair, sadly, I have astigmatism but i rushed and bought non astigmatism pairs. I got them for 200$ a box. I got about 10 lenses here but i can't really use them because they are good for distance viewing but anything like reading labels kills me

anyone here uses -2.00, BC 8.4, DIA 14.0; or -2.25, BC 8.4, DIA 14.0?
got 5 of each (Acuvue Oasys w/ hydraclear plus) that I may not use... as they are non astigmatism pairs. give me a $100 per set or something.

cinco, where is that 30 hour max use thing for contacts? I've only used one pair so far and I've used it probably 12 times since february... I wondering if I need to change them? Since march I have only used them once a month (to replace the fluid etc).

and yeah boy marsh, same with OT now... i was like :| i never paid for that... why I hadda pay for it now. Thankfully mine didn't change since my last test.
I noticing whoever doing OT lenses getting a bit careless, first my lenses in this set were almost twice the thickness of my old ones even though my prescription was the same. I sent it back and it got a bit thinner but one lens is not the same vertical position as the other.

true. but any eye test done at value optical covers u for glasses and contacts. if u have glasses and want contacts, u dont have to re-test.

this is the same for all modern optometrist with regard for one test for contacts and glasses. Value optical does charge to take away their prescription but i haven't felt need to do the same at other optometrists, so although they may also not having too certainly counts.

If you using acuvue oasys for astigmatism the suggested usage per pair is 2 weeks, I only use mine from 7-4 daily so I carry them to 3-4 weeks, if I do feel irritation I switch at the suggested time

ahh scene. I'm wearing the normal ones (the ones i mentioned). Thanks.

I was wondering if it matters the amount of times i used it OR the time from first use that warrants the change because it was in February i had my first use. I did notice they are a bit harder now to take off but i don't get irritation at all.

Yeah. I did an eye test last week in OT for $100 and they told me I have to pay another $100 if I want to take the prescription outside of OT. :x
