Bandit undergoes open heart surgery and dies

Businessman kills bandit in POS
Thursday 28th June, 2012

Drama in downtown Port of Spain on Thursday as a bandit tried to rob a businessman in a car park on Henry Street but is shot and killed.

According to reports, around 9:15am, the bandit who goes by the alias 'Yankee' was sitting in a guard booth awaiting the arrival of the proprietor of a nearby store.

The store owner was about to enter his vehicle which was parked at the side of the road adjacent to the guard booth when the man approached him and announced a hold up.

Reports say the man pointed a firearm at the businessman who drew his own licensed firearm and shot the bandit, hitting him in the chest several times.

The man ran a short distance before collapsing on the ground where he died.

Police say the man was a deportee and has been living in Trinidad for some time now.

Poor fella he leave quite La Brea to come POS to make a little money and that blasted chinee cause he could afford a Glock shoot de poor gentleman because he only had a revolver.

that only happens if things are questionable. the business man safe he out ready to deal with a nextr bandit already.. bandit family should reimburse him for his bullets
