Central serial rapist nabbed

A 24-YEAR-OLD Chaguanas man — described by police as being a serial rapist — and two other rape suspects, both twins and aged 34, were arrested during raids in several areas in central Trinidad by police during the early morning hours yesterday.

The three men are to be placed on a series of Identification Parades in relation to several rape attacks on women in central Trinidad. With the arrest of the three young men, police believe they have solved the vicious rape of a 22-year-old woman who was assaulted while her seven-year-old daughter watched.

The arrest came following coordinated investigations by police officers from several police stations in Central Division under coordination of crime fighting ace ASP Johnny Abraham. The arrests led to divisional chief, Snr Supt Deodath Dulalchan praising his officers.

“My officers are hard-working men and women, committed to fighting crime. I commend them for the many hours of work they put in which led to these arrests,” Dulalchan said.

Officers swooped down on a house in the Chaguanas area at five o’clock yesterday morning and detained the twins. Involved in the raids were Abraham, detective Inspector Wayne Lawrence, WP Sgt John and Constables Wayne Mohammed, Narine, Alleyne, WPC Bailey and others.

Six hours later, at 11 am, officers raided and her house in Chaguanas and arrested the 24-year-old, who police described as a serial rapist. In addition to the gang rape of the young mother on Saturday, in which the victim’s daughter was not only made to watch the assault but was also threatened with rape, the three are the prime suspects in other sex attacks. They are wanted for the rape, earlier this year of a woman who was abducted in Port-of-Spain and taken to Chaguanas where she was sexually assaulted. Earlier on this year, a firewoman was also attacked and raped by three men.

Women living in central Trinidad, who have been victims of sex crimes, are being asked by police to attend these Identification Parades to assist officers in their investigations.

cutt of their piggies now..!!!!!

cant imagine how a man could enjoy having sex with a non consenting female.....their piggy could actualy get a stand when a woman tells them no.....

why do this when u could pay a fee and actually enjoy it.....

^ yeah, if we were in the middle east or other muslim state (from Afghanistan to Somalia), the women would be punished for adultery by jail and whipping and/or stoning. Despite it was rape, they "committed a sin" according to their holy book.

No joke, look it up. When these stories do manage to get out, what can Amnesty International really do?

IMO, a rapist is mentally unstable for him to be aroused and turned on when not given consent.

I sorry for the 7yr old... she did nothing to deserve having to witness that.
