It's a "faux G" network as they call it I believe. HSPA+ is really 3.9G. But I'm sure they will market it as 4G

Digicel employees are using it now, only about 400 phones, then corporate, then peasants will have at it.
Another good thing is that as this is used more, the EDGE will free up more and work like it should.

as long as 3G is still affordable like say $200 a month which I understand TSTT corporate package will be.

Then most will switch to 3G since they already pay that amount for slow 2G

People who has the free net on the other hand is a different case.

when i enable 3g, the service drops to one bar, then it comes up as full but still no data

when i spoke to the rep only selected persons got the message. and service MUST be activated on your sim...

As for the iphone depends on the model of iphone you may not have the proper 3G bands on your phone...
