Purpose of the trophies are for the competition prizes, obviously. Installation design and quality is beyond anyone's control besides the vehicle owners themselves and their installers. Some persons have competition specific vehicles with no regards to getting a flat or even having it with a neat/ fancy install. Strange enough, we have not gotten any complaints, official or unofficial from Members or Competitors about the quality or structure of our competitions except for two individuals who did not understand the concept of the Show and Shine category. Now, out of nowhere MECA TT is bombarded with a series of negative comments. Constructive Criticism is greatly appreciated. It would be nice for persons to comment on what they think should be done to make it better rather than being all pessimistic.

Dunno where you getting negative comments against meca but so far every single competitor Ive spoken to said they will return to meca compts and enjoy battling out on the meter.

I don't think anyone was complaining about MECA TT.. It's the quality of installs seen that is really disappointing.

Dudes needs to steep up their game seriously.. come on guys.. look at the installs... it does not give me any confidence to do works by anyone of these guys... but anyways do ya'll thing!

The installs don't need to be "fancy", just neat.
I remember some pics from another car show some years back where competitors used dacron to hide wires and none of the boxes were covered/finished...quantity over quality FTL.

Loom some harnesses, hide the wires, upholster the boxes, cover/paint the amp panels and finishers. As good as some of these systems might sound, this doesn't inspire me to take my business there if when I open my trunk all I'll see are amps, a birdnest of wires and unfinished MDF.

Some electrical tape and wire grommets, a staple gun, some spray glue and a couple yards of box carpet can make all the difference between amateur-looking and professionally done.

Agreed with all, what i try to do is while competitors are coming through the lane to compete, i try to propose ways in which they can make their systems safer, more reliable and more presentable. The weird thing is that someone might buy a $15,000.00 amplifier and find it difficult to spend $500.00 to have it properly installed with all accessories/ components. Weird and yet typical ...

I always like to see raw mdf enclosure. Once neatly built it needs no covering plus I like to see the hard work and craftsmanship that went into building it. Clear coat maybe.
