Pressure yes. So called giant-killers. Their goalie made some critical saves but we gonna analyse his tactics and drag him like dog in the return leg :D

In the other game olympic marseille put one on inter in extra time.

well well, i was silent for once...i not blaming the horrible pitch.......i congratulate their keeper...i am gratefull for luck was on our side (they hit the woodwork twice)...what i am concerned about is that a side that had 11 clean sheets earlier in the season leaking crucial goals.....

still at Alianz WE separate the men from the boys!

Bayern looking good. Besides the 2 Spanish powerhouses, Bayern is looking like the only team worthy enough of going to that final.

English teams taking major L's this season

Mandanda: Bayern Munich are 'obvious' favourites for Marseille Champions League tie
The keeper believes that the Bundesliga outfit should be expected to progress to the semi-finals, but he's promised that the French club will give everything to cause an upset

Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has stated that Bayern Munich will be clear favourites to progress into the Champions League semi-finals after being paired with the French club at the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Although the Ligue 1 side eliminated 2010 winners Inter in the previous round, the France international is pleased simply to have reached this stage, hinting that further progress would be an unexpected bonus.

"In the quarter-finals, you cannot avoid big fish," he told Uefa.com. "Bayern are a very big team and it will be difficult. We are happy because we have reached this stage of the competition and we cannot wait because it is an important game.

"It is obvious that Bayern are favourites in this tie but we will try our best."

Mandand will be suspended in the first leg of this clash, which will be played at Stade Velodrome, after being dismissed on Tuesday night in a 2-1 reverse against the Nerazzurri, which was enough to see OM through on away goals. Souleymane Diawara is also banned for the home fixture.

Bayern Munich to announce Dante signing after Monchengladbach game - report
The Brazilian centre-half is reportedly on the verge of agreeing a move to the Allianz Arena, with the Bavarian giants expected to announce the move imminently

Bayern Munich will announce the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach defender Dante after Wednesday's DFB Pokal semi-final between the two clubs, Kicker reports.

The Brazilian defender has been strongly linked with the Bavarian giants after announcing in January his intention to further his career at one of Germany's top clubs.

It is understood that Bayern have agreed to meet Dante's £4 million buy-out clause, with the player moving to the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Signed from Standard Liege in 2009, Dante has established himself as a key player at Borussia
Monchengladbach, who are third in the Bundesliga standings.

Looking ahead to Wednesday's contest, the 28-year-old warned his side against Bayern's recent scoring spree, but insisted he wants to reach the DFB Pokal final.

"Bayern are on a really favourable run and are scoring an unbelievable number of goals,"Dante told Kicker.

"Each of us dreams of the final and wants to go to Berlin."

Bayern Munich to face Monchengladbach without Schweinsteiger - report
The influential midfielder is still being plagued by ankle problems and it is believed he won't feature. The Fohlen, meanwhile, will welcome back Patrick Herrmann from injury

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes could be forced to postpone Bastian Schweinsteiger's return to the starting XI as the midfielder is expected to be sidelined for Wednesday's DFB Pokal semi-final clash at Borussia Monchengladbach due to injury, Kicker reports.

The 27-year-old tore ankle ligaments in February, but returned to match action in the Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim earlier this month.

However, the Germany international endured a recovery setback ahead of Saturday's 6-0 league win over Hertha Berlin, and will now reportedly be ruled out of this Wednesday's encounter at the Borussia Park.

Schweinsteiger last started for the Bavarians in early February in the DFB Pokal quarter-final win over Schalke. His absence will likely see Luiz Gustavo and Toni Kroos feature as Bayern's holding midfielders.

Gladbach have received more encouraging news from the treatment table, however, as Patrick Herrmann has announced his fitness and intends to play on Wednesday. The 21-year-old suffered a fracture in his shoulder on February 18, and has since been sidelined. However, he has trained with a shield for the joint, and expects to be fit.

"I trained without problems, everything went well. I also fell a few times on the shoulder, the armor holds very well, I felt nothing," he told Express. "There is currently nothing in my way for an appearance on Wednesday. I am fit."

Monchengladbach have beaten Bayern twice during the 2011-12 campaign. In their most recent clash, on January 20, Herrmann scored twice in a 3-1 victory.
