Magic Jack problems

is anyone else having MJ problems?

i'm getting the 'Error 401'

I've tried ALL the solutions online and NONE are working to fix this problem :?

Pull out magic jack, push back in, and start over.

When I sent my response I was also using magic jack - so you may have a local problem.

TSTT/Blink firewall? Call them to verify it's turned off.

I remember I had to "fix" a magicjack once, all i did was restart the pc, pull, push. boom. it working ever since!

call tstt and let them unlock the firewall,my cousin had the same issue,just called tstt and unlocked the fire wall and bam

This.

401 is no internet connection via the ports required if iirc.

could they just allow certain ports and still have the firewall on?

NO.
If you were paying for a static IP they could, but they won't. so either on or off.
not that their firewall is any real security to begin with.

Try taking off your firewall at the router. That normally gets my MJ working fine

I got a magic jack plus. This one doesnt need a computer and plugs straight into the router.
It runs really hot though. This normal?

No ours is cool right now and my mom has been using the magic jack phone all day lol
