problem is with the os7 platform apparently when the battery runs down too low and u attempt to recharge it goes into the loop.

had that issue & had to get phone replaced(via warranty)-

Solution-when phone reaches 25% battery charge its time to recharge.

Rim CEOs jumping off the sinking ship
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57363615-94/rims-co-ceos-to-step-down/

The move comes in the face of lost investor confidence in the pair over the last year. The company's downward spiral was highlighted last month when the company announced declining profits and revenue in the third quarter. For its fiscal third quarter, the Canadian mobile devices maker reported a profit of $265 million, or 51 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier profit of $911.1 million, or $1.74 a share.

Complicating things for the duo was the company's announcement that it didn't plan to release its next-generation BlackBerry phones until the latter part of this year, creating a huge void without any products.

^ i could do without app world, and their ~10 apps - i use the appstore for my apps :)

anyways so i updated OS via desktop manager and phone working faster than ever, i hope this new version has a fix for that bricking.

bbm and appworld icons are back too, my contact list remained as it was before
