2012 hilux Audio Upgrade (SQ)

Sold my civic late last year and got a new Hilux.

Over the weekend I'm getting my new system installed...

the new hilux comes with a factory DVD, USB, Ipod deck with steering controls. I didn't want to replace this since it is connected to my factory reverse camera etc.

The avenue we are taking is using an Audiocontrol DQL-8, for tuning and line conversion.

Amp: JL 5-channel (took this out of the civic )

Components: DLS Reference RS6N

Subs: 2 JL 10WXv2-4

Another stealth install and for daily use....

i'd take whatever pics i can. Have some functions to attend in the morning period so I'd take what i can when i get up there in the afternoon....

recently i had to fix a mistake of the tttl tech who installed the reverse camera and jvc double din deck .. thing is the owner insisted on letting the firm install it in fear of voiding the warrenty .. only thing is they said they never got the steering wheel control to work on any of their vehicles..

thanks to nigel1977 an some wireing magic i got the swc to work ...
seeing as u already have the audio control dql already it wont make sense to tell you to change the deck and u wont lose the steering wheel controls and the reverse camera function .

hope to see the final install .

One of the other reasons I didn't change the deck is it has all the features of an aftermarket deck except RCA output and a good equalizer...
The deck tttl bring is different from this. Mine came with factory Bluetooth, USB, DVD, factory reverse camera, Bluetooth audio so I don't always need to connect my iPhone or itouch via USB etc. The deck is also connected to the truck's ecu, once motion is detected, certain menus cannot be accessed etc. And no I don't mean it get a signal when D is selected.

was that a tttl hilux or rampersad product ???

pretty impressive h.u .. from ur desc it seems the h.u is connected to the vehicle speed sensor ..pretty innnovative idea as there is way too many bypass modules for sale .

first pic dash looks fortuner ish. last batch of pics looks more vigo ish. which pic os the correct for you truck Aaron? i was wondering if they would put the fortuner digital ac controls in there, as well as the clock and compass which is already there in the new vigos.

Just an update. Vehicle is currently at installer, started working on it this morning. He promised to take pics of the install since I cannot be there because of prior commitments. Sub woofer box was built earlier in the week so it's just to install.
