^ I've already lost the personal hotspot feature on the first bmobile carrier update - so I decided to do this update as well - no noticeable difference.

still no personal hotspot though :(

I was (in the back of my mind) thinking that it could return that feature, but guess not. So if not that I wonder what difference this new update is?

From what I saw, Digicel's plans leave much to be desired because their structure is different. Think they have a failsafe in case people want to use their digi BB plan with another phone.

Basically the plan suppose to give u data on your apps in your iPhone 4S but with that fail safe thing he is talking about I assume if another device other than a bb registers onto the system it may automatically drop the data plan or suspend the data until it is registered onto the system via a RIM device...I could be wrong , that's just my taughts

src1983, what browser are you using for browsing the net? I recently downloaded Opera Mini on my ipod touch and love it, supposedly reduces the data as well so may speed up page loads.

I really like the way it does tabbed browsing, can open pages in the background and switch to them later whereas I've found that Safari doesn't load data unless the page is active.

That's why I refuse to pay for mobile internet in this backward country. I'll wait til digicel implements its 3g network.

What are some of the initiatives Digicel is working on right now?

Right now, we have just launched mobile 4G in the Dutch Caribbean with intentions to offer this also in Panama, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Cayman and Barbados in the current financial year and other markets going forward.

Ok
The issue was that the work network went down as I was fiddling with the phone. So there was no inet.
So it was just allowing emergency calls.
When it came back up the phone registered and it's working.

I don't surf the web with the bb I spend most of my time at work or home and use the networks there.
Email on the road however is important.

I should keep the digi bb plan?

Thanks for the help fellas

that how it is on bmobile as well its edge. And wow lots of misinformation there iD... thanks src for clearing that up.

If you are on an unlimited BB plan from Digicel, it WILL NOT matter where the data is coming from. ;)
I'm on one and it works. But as src said its slow... but if you live in a less densely populated area it works excellent... like mayaro during the weekdays and no holidays... best speeds. ever.

That must be an iOS 5 update cuz I'm on 4.2.1 and I don't have that option.

Rockstar games has released Grand Theft Auto 3 for both the iPhone and iPad late this evening. This release marks the 10th anniversary of the game, which was originally released for the PS2. Grand Theft Auto 3 is available for $4.99 on the iTunes App Store.

------

Famous Chronic Dev-Team member, pod2g, has confirmed that his untethered jailbreak is working on pretty much all devices with an Apple A4 system-on-a-chip running iOS 5.0.1. On top of A4 devices, he’s also got an untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 on the AppleTV 2 working.

Just to be clear, these are the devices:

    iPad (original)
    iPhone 3GS
    iPod Touch 4G, 3G
    iPhone 4
