URGENT HELP PLZ!!

If i changed my head gasket in my 2E engine 2 weeks ago and i need to take it back off to do some other work, unfortunately, is there any way i can use back the same head gasket?????? Anyone knows??? thnx

not advisable...the gasket would've already been compressed when the head was torqued down and likely will not seal properly the second time around

you'll risk needing another engine if water/coolant gushes into your cylinders, or if the oil and water start mixing...a 2E head gasket isn't expensive...get a new one

dont know the price of gasket
but if you dont have the money take care when opening it if the gasket is not physically damaged
there is a gasket in paste form like (form a gasket sealant ) which is non hardening. put a thin coat on both sides of the gasket (clean the surface.) before putting up again.

That's not applicable to head gaskets or condoms for that matter. Do not reuse!!

^^debatable eh fella.
Pops has done engines with no warp, reused gasket and copper spray that 100k+ miles later still have no leaks, and running well.

I say it comes down to the headache, if the cheaper option is the gasket (coupled with price of repeat labor, downtime, etc) replace it.

The condom part or the headgasket part? I've used copper spray with excellent results on throttlebody gaskets but IMO the weight of the head and pressure exerted will compress the gasket and decrease the minimum thickness required for sealing. Gaskets too cheap to have to take down a head if it develops a leak.
