so seriously, want to clean the outside of my windscreen what are your remedies and personal experiences (cleaning methods)..... thanks

u can use a little vinegar or maybe some CLR™ for hard water stains. After that use some Rain X™ on the windshield, works like a charm.

Before you start any job. You should know what is the chemical composition of what you want to remove. There are different type of contaminants on the windscreen eg. bug splatter, tar , road grime , hard water etching, etc. Once you know what you want to remove, try to get a chemical that is designed to for that purpose. This way you can effectively and efficiently solve your problem !!!

I cant seem to get the inside of the glass clean (front & rear wind-shields and windows). Any time I wipe, it appears smudgy as if there is some kind of film on it. I've tried rubbing alcohol, even good ol' newsprint but it doesn't come clean. Any tips on this?
