Bizarre game :?

but we can take heart from the second half performance with only 9 men

all the major decisions went against us...even then we created and missed a couple of good chances to get something from the game...would've been quite remarkable if we had

Yeah, but playing 12 vs 11 from the onset was hard....I don't complain about referees, but this ridiculous. Props to QPR tho, they played well, had our defence in shambles at times. 6 points adrift from Mancity, 1 point from Manu......still early..

BEAUTIFUL GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

9 MEN and still looked like the best team on the pitch!

Didn't like the starting lineup but wow! I like the fact that they didn't give up!

- 3 points but hopefully we can address the areas. in our defense..... luiz needs to dial it down.

Only thing is disappointed with Drogs but hopefully Lakaku will get a chance to play now.

another f.a. cup victory with 10 men.
everton 1 chelsea 2
Daniel Sturridge's extra-time winner earned Chelsea a Carling Cup victory over Everton as both teams were reduced to 10 men in an enthralling game.

Premier League - Matchpack: Chelsea v Arsenal

Team news, manager quotes and match facts ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

TEAM NEWS

Chelsea are without striker Didier Drogba and goalkeeper Ross Turnbull due to suspension, but Fernando Torres returns from his own ban and is ready to play. Michael Essien (knee) and Ramires (knee) are missing from midfield.

Thomas Vermaelen has crucially been included in the Arsenal squad despite suffering a minor knock in the Carling Cup win over Bolton. A late decision will be made on the availability of right-back Carl Jenkinson (knee) but Kieran Gibbs (groin) is out, along with Jack Wilshere (ankle), Bacary Sagna (ankle) and Abou Diaby (also ankle).

MANAGER QUOTES

Andre Villas-Boas on the John Terry racism row: "He has put out his statement and we fully back John. John is a player who (represents) this country to the highest level internationally. He is a player of great responsibilities. He said to me the incident was a big misunderstanding. That's why he put his statement out straight away. I find it strange when people don't trust the words of a representative from your country."

Arsene Wenger: "Who would write off the title after nine games? But we have to realistic, we are not in contention at the moment ... I hope the fans are less worried now. The situation is not so negative. They want the same as us - to win ... I like [Villas-Boas], he speaks his mind, he's intelligent and he likes to go forward."

MATCH FACTS

Arsenal have won none of their last eight Premier League away matches, their worst run since 1992; the last time they went nine without a win was April 1988.

The suspended Didier Drogba has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances against Arsenal in all competitions. Arsenal’s record against Chelsea with him playing is W1 D3 L10, but in his absence Arsenal have won two, drawn one and lost none.

Drogba has hit eight goals against Arsenal in the Premier League, joint-most against any other side along with West Brom.

Arsenal have won six times in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge, more often than any other team.

Robin van Persie has scored 25 goals in 26 Premier League appearances in 2011.

The Dutchman has scored 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League away games and scored two at Stamford Bridge in November 2008, the last time the Gunners won away at Chelsea.

The Gunners have only been able to win three of their last 18 matches against Chelsea in all competitions, but did win 3-1 at the Emirates in December last season (excluding Community Shield).

Arsenal have beaten Chelsea six times after falling behind to the Blues in the Premier League, while the Pensioners have only come back to win once after trailing against the Gunners.

The Blues have taken 31 points from the last 33 available at Stamford Bridge, but have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight home Premier League outings.

The Gunners have conceded five goals from free kicks this season, more than any other team.

MATCH ODDS

Chelsea 8/13, Arsenal 9/2, Draw 3/1.

Chelsea 2 - 3 Arsenal in the 73rd min, Walcott dagger in the 55th

Chelsea defense is almost useless today :?

Edit: Great shot from Mata to level the scores @ 3 a piece.

WTF going on with Chelsea, Persie makes it 4-3 in the 85th

good entertainment...catalog of errors and loose defending from both teams

Bosingwa decided he not defending for some reason...poor back pass by Malouda on the 4th goal...overall piss poor defending

Have to say Arsenal defended better in the second half...deserved win

Arsenal supporters are real football fans and not the bunch of Man U and Chelsea bandwagonists who seem to populate the football threads on this forum.
