wicked pics.....one day I’ll be lucky enough to see Marlin fly like that in front of me.

Anyone going fishing today? I wonder what the surf like up on the north and east coast?

actually the Chartreuse Green skirt did the damage for us but it pulled white marlin, the red & black skirt also performed... it was in ft.lauderdale.

i get bonito at $5 per pound and some real nice fresh herring sunday morning from the wholesale market in pos. I think anytime after 5am wit the curfew go be good time, i does usually go 6am though.

Went banking wit some friends and hold real salmon on patos side. We went out since 730am and the fish only start to bite non stop from 130pm till 4pm, we had to leave that time even though the salmon was real biting. We caught mostly 3 pound size salmon, herring was the bait of choice, could have caught a lot more but we had to leave :(

Dudes.....wha's de best way to store bait like bonito in the freezer? Had some success with salting herring and Joshua and then freezing them. Aside from filleting and then vacuum bagging......wha allyuh do to store bait like whole bonito?

if i'm storing bonito, just like ryan said, fillet, salt, freeze.
i also keep all the chum/waste pieces from the fillets, chop them up and make chum bags...saves time and you can toss a chum bag in the water as soon as you anchor at your zone.

a bredren and i made a fishpot yesterday, came out pretty good. have no immediate intentions of using it, but thought it could be useful on those multiple day missions or when live bait is around enough to not bother banking..
