i think i was kneeling in front of the TV when that happened, tears now forming. My phone was already lighting up by my brother in JA, die hard Chelsea fan, then suddenly it happened and the phone lines went silent. pure euphoria.

DON'T EVER SLEEP ON VALENCIA... this is a two time UCL finalist...loads of pedigree and a winning attitude. We have to be very wary of this side. Betis has a game in hand and are one point ahead of us. We're currently 4th in the league.

two years in a row UCL FINALISTS, two years in a row la liga winners, two years in a row UEFA LEAGUE winners

RASC u remember the final game of the 2002 season i believe it was, battle was up for the 4th and final Champions league spot. Rivaldo score a bicycle in the dying minutes to win the game 4-3 and knock Valencia out the final champions spot.

Valencia's problem is their debt making them have to sell out their better players. Last year they were up to 500M Euros. Based on this they had to sell Villa,Silva and Mata, even with the government bailing them out 74M Euro.

Agreed, to add to that list Aimar, Albelda, joaquin n to a lesser extent Vicente.

Valencia had the most players in the spanish national side before they started sellling their players.

Its a wonder they manage to stay competitive. Other smaller sides should take a page out of their book. :!:
