had no issues with them. shipping is slow with my skybox, but they normally deliver in like a day or 2 to the skybox's miami address.

they are my "go to" place for detailing goodies.

but is true, sometimes I like to get things locally too. where can I get the following in NORTH:

1) Mothers Headlight resto kit (w/ powerball)
2) Simple Green (APC??)

will do. I think I'll try a small "spot" check with some existing stuff I have such as Megs PlastX, Griots Plastic Cleaner + Polish, since the discoloration is not particularly heavy. If I have success, good. If not, I'll give you a call Karim.

Karim, what u use for headlight restoration?
i polish with mothers plastic polish regularly but what about stains that are already there?
the polish seems like it protects more than removes..

3m dude ,, the headlight system that is advertised is a very good DIY system..
My only problem is that after you do this the fading and hazing comes back after 3-6 months

Sorry guys, I unwittingly broke the boards rule about commercial ads so they deleted my posts. My bad, but I had an idea. What do you guys think about Trinituner having a dedicated area for detailing/paint type topics?

Hi there,
I don't know if you guys know, but there is now the new 'synthetic' clay which has its virtues over the traditional clay bar. If this product falls to the ground, you can just wash if off and continue to use it! Not so with an ordinary clay bar.
I don't know if it is around locally, I import mine. Works great.

And just a word again fellas, on the process re cleaning/detailing the exterior of the vehicle. Why, why, after compounding, polishing, glazing, would you go to waxing. I keep hearing and reading this all the time. Fellas, think SEALANT, a premium one, which is going to give you 6 - 8 months protection. After applying sealant you can still layer with your favourite wax for the 'wet look'.

The thing is, if you have preped the car properly, which should include claying etc, by the time you have finished glazing, you should have a helluva a shine right there. Now you preserve that with a good SEALANT which locks in the shine; so that in all practicality, your wax is more of an enhancer than the virtual protector. And yes, a high content Carnauba wax does bring an unmistakable dimension to 'depth of shine' and the 'wet look', but should be going over a good sealant.

Of course, if you are using an AOI, then that is okay, just to apply a little TLC to a basically good surface.

Beric, just to add value to your write up. Both Naturally occurring waxs and synthetic waxs are both sealants. They both provide the same benefit- Paint protection.

Both Synthetic wax and Naturally occuring waxs has its benefits over the other. The Synthetic wax are man made and they tend to give a longer protection period than the Natural wax. Some say the Natural wax give a warm glow/shine.

If you are car crazy and you want a great shine and you "wax" your car very often i would recommend a natural wax.

If you want long term protection use a Synthetic wax.

When i am detailing a vehicle i usually seal with a Synthetic wax , but i will be fading out the use of this type of product and start to use the New nano coatings

I use Sumthing called "Vee Wash"
Its the BEST. Mothers, Prestone, etc can't compare with it.
Its a concentrated wash & polish & its not sold in any random stores. I get it straight from a distributor abroad. Has my car looking best.
