^via boat or just a shore mish?

i'm up for either, my boatmen buddies are either dry docked for repair or busy setting their nets this weekend :(

ryan99tt, honestly i never did get a guaranteed contact for the boatman, i usually make contact with the live bait man (Joey aka Zarro aka Papa San) at maracas bay fishing depot through another friend...Joey then links us up with whoever will take us out for a mish...

he's very accessible and from my experiences, those guys at that depot are good people. never had bad dealings. if you don't catch sheit, they'll still send ya home with dinner.

take a drive up, enjoy the beach and chill at the depot for a bit, talk to some guys, swig a few beers and let those guys know you want fish! lol...

some other guys who i've fished with there and have no tel # for are:

Darice/Dareece - youthman, knows his banks and good company
Gregory/Runnaway - works with Joey sometimes
Bean - mostly seine nets he sets but he can hold his own line-fishing
Bean's Brother - not sure of his name lol...
Frank - (based in Damiens' Bay...has a pirogue recently out on the water again)

and well..fasterThebetter and his crew...maybe faster has some contact information for these guys.
they're all based (save for Frank) at Maracas Depot.

take a couple of your cutlass fish and head down on the point, north coast for kings.

cutlass fish chunks are a good bait for using your same live bait rigs, no sinker, lightest gauge wire you're comfortable with and you can get away with.

got some good mixed live bait last weekend up there, hopefully you should still get some and try those too...nice king play still around man

i know eels make great shark bait, flat-lined and probably injured to leave a scent trail in deeper water where there's some distance to the bottom.

but in my experience, they're a nuisance of the highest order. they HATE being hooked and out the water - will wriggle and slither, knotting themselves into a ball wrapped up in your line and leader until they almost cut themselves.
in the water they'll head straight for the bottom into rocks and other structure to hide as soon as they're aware of the hook...

i wouldn't try live-baiting them because of so much sheit that can go wrong..
