its a matter of being given the beta test disks, which updates the consoles. after the update it fails to read cds. Happens to the fat 360s. Since microsoft released a new disk format they were beta testing that gives DL Dvds about 1GB more storage

Report: PlayStation Store Springs To Life Next Week

According to a memo sent to developer and publishing partners, Sony says Store activity will resume on May 24. Furthermore, Sony restated their intention to produce two content releases per week until they're caught up; after all, they did miss three weeks worth of updating.

The first round of content, set for the 24th, will include content that was originally scheduled to hit the Store on April 26, and then they'll push out more content - initially set for May 3 - on the 27th.
