W.T.K using a diff brain for engine

Postby someone904 » March 31st, 2011, 7:41 pm

Good day folks, The scenario is using a sr20 black top U.K spec engine (suppose to have different cams, higher compression compared to its japanese counterpart), which is wired up to a Japanese sr20 brain I just wanna know what are the effects good or bad (power, fuel) (if any) with using this brain given fuel maps and such. thanks for the info

ECU from lower compression ratio in a high compression engine should increase ur economy as the ECU fuel contrl system is set at a lower std than required by the engine;s maufacturer , it should cause better and cleaner and more efficient combustion because of the extra air pumped into the chamber mechanically..........however engine wouldnt harness it full potential as its new ECU ratio causes less fuel to enter d chamber than it is built for.
