On March 11th, 2011, northern Japan was subjected to the largest earthquake in that country’s history. The damage, at present, is beyond measure.
We are grateful to be able to report that the Hoshino Group’s facilities in Japan are located far enough from the quake’s epicenter to have spared our organization and its people any loss of life or serious property damage.
The Hoshino Group of Japan thanks the many friends and associates who have called or written to communicate their concern.
At this time we, along with our counterparts in Japan, would like to express our condolences to those who lost family, friends, and colleagues. We pray for the well-being of the survivors.
Our thoughts are with them all.
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/la/ ibanez line up this year is amazing..

straight from the ibanez website..not sure about caparison tho
i think most guitar factories are ok like ESP,schecter
How much would you consider selling the damien elite for?

I'm looking for a good single cut right now. Any suggestions? Something that doesn't look like it would be played by some nu metal fag.

I'll find something. I have some ideas floating around out there...

Wont invest in a PRS Sorry.
I don't mind their instruments, just they don't feel right in my hands.

^^ Same here. They're very reliable and all of the same model has no deviations. But something about them feels wrong. The only one i liked playing was the SE custom hollowbody and the 513.

I'm looking for a good humbucker that when coil tapped, it gives a real single coil sound.
Any suggestions?

yeah? good luck.

I am actually using a pretty good Dimarzio hum right now... The PAF Pro.

It balances well with the Area 58 and 61 Pickups I have on the Stratocaster. Ever since i changed to that combo I have not had the need to change to anything else. They blow the Fender Vintage Noiseless (stock American deluxe pickups) out of the water.

I however don't run it in a tap, but given the output and the current dynamics of the pickup, i can see how it will work well as a tapped pickup with other single coils. Especially in a S/S/H combo.

Through my Mesa.. Actives sound good.. have well defined tones and cut through the mix well. No problems with actives at all, I don't mind them. However put them through any amp that isn't high gain and you get a different story.

I don't understand why people will fork out big money for high quality guitars to throw ass actives in it to rob the tonal qualities you get from the wood through passive pickups. To me actives sound the same in everything. Thats just my opinion.

As for the Single Cut, i want something with Twin Hums. I think Ill just bite the bullet and call Dean for a DLZ yes.

just really musical prefernce, alot of ppl say actives all sound the same, and i agree, but i still prefer the sound i get from my actives, if u want to make my neighbours scream i can but at the sametime if u want womens legs to spread with warm sexi clean tones it does aswell

you can get decent clean tones from actives.. just they wont have the luster and sizzle you'd expect from a good single coil

3200 usd for a pre fender jackson? That fire did you a favor son. I hope you had insurance on that thing. If I spend more than 2k usd on a piece of gear, I take out an insurance plan. Usually runs fairly cheap to cover the instrument from theft and fire damage.

Also invest in an skb case next time. Those things are indestructible or your money back. Even fire.

well that sucks. Should have invested in an SKB case.
But I guess for 3200 Jackson should have made that guitar fire proof.

Make you feel better it isn't even worth 3/4s that now on the used market. So you came out on top.

Actually some of them used are worth alot still, all in the 2000-2600$ U.S price ranges. Ask snags.

Maybe one or two from the 80s. But Mid to late 90s Jackson was utter rubbish. That's why the company folded and was bought out by Fender in the early 2000s.

Around that time Ibanez and ESP were giving Jackson a serious run for the money. The Quality of the guitars coming out of Japan were second to none... Jackson couldn't keep up with the high cost of Labor in the US, so the company started out sourcing and the end result is a bunch of sub-par instruments with prestige pricing so they could stay competitive with the changing of the guard. Even look at their endorsements throughout the 90s... They lost a lot of ground to ESP and Ibanez. A lot.

Again buying guitars and expecting them to hold value doesnt work anymore.
