No, it does not make sense. They are called hazard lights for a reason. You use them when your vehicle presents a hazard to other motorists, for example, if your car is broken down on the shoulder, or worse yet, in a travelling lane.

This makes sense. Turning on your headlights (which, if your electrical system is working properly, will cause your taillights to illuminate) will make your vehicle more visible to other motorists.

Then put your fuggin headlights on high beam when you are driving in the rain. Hell, put on your fog lights too if your car came equipped with them. That will be way more visible from a distance than flashing indicators. Plus, when you driving like a BUGWAAANAAA in the fuggin rain running up on people's bumpers, how the firetruck are they going to see your stinking flashing indicators?

So geodude, what's your bright (no pun intended) solution for this scenario? Switch off your hazard lights, use the indicator, then switch the hazard lights back on?
