Thanks! It's a basic set-up:
12A StreetPort
RB Headers
OE Carb and Fuel Pump
Electronic Ignition
5 Fwd Box
Lower Springs
Now riding on some Chromes with 195/45-15

Future Plans:
Urethane Bushing
Eventually Body job and Change color
Continue to Restore the Interior as I get the parts
Upgrade to either bolt on Carbi like a Holley Kit or get into a complete intake upgrade like a Weber or Mikuni 44 or 48 with Fuel Pump and Regulator

Personally, I like more spirited driving like Dex...just cruising not into the high speed racing. I am more into engine reliability and handling and would like to get about 150-175 whp out of a nice Carbi set up.

Like that setup and yeah IDAs is a decent consideration...

reading about that RX2 make me miss my 1st gen with the 12a bridge...sigh

but seriously...create a build post and check maztune if you haven't already for parts link ups

another carb option i have recently been looking in to is the use of an edelbrock 600 thunder series carbs its a very good 4 barrel carb grate response good for street use and flows like wow when called up on
its cheaper than the weber and u can mod your stock manifold to make it fit by adding an adapter plate
the carb is basically and plug and play its easy to tune , screws for idle and screws to adjust when the secondaries open easy U should look in to it good luck with the car man

Thanks man!...Will def check it out. My project plans came to a halt temp...I bought a 13B engine from a guy in Tobago for my Bridgeport project and unfortunately he had a fire at is garage before I got a chance to pick up the engine. Now he is telling me that it sustained some heat damage so now I am waiting to collect my money back. I'm still in the hunt for a blown 13B Carb engine....have'nt been able to locate another one yet! As soon as I do, I will continue on with a 13B Bridge 51DA or maybe the Edlebrock you mentioned setup...keeping it old'school...No BOOST!..lol...Like I said previously looking for around 225-250whp which will be more than enough HP for a nice weekend warrior...lol

U can boost throughout the carb (blowthrough) with a carb hat and boost prepping the carb the Those HP numbers are at the flywheel not the wheels . in order to get those numbers at the wheel u will certainly have problems with starts , and low rpm power. if u are going to go full bridgeport i would suggest u dont use stock apex seals when they cross 8500 RPM they will unleash distraction . sadly at 8500 RPM the bridgeport engine is still making good power up to 10500+.IF u are looking for a street engine and want to use stock seals i suggest doing a half-bridge port engine u will have best of both worlds so to speak . A half bridge port is basically bridge porting the secondary plates (rear and front ) and street porting the primaries
for max benefit of this half bridge u need a 4 barrel carb Like a Holly , Nikki or the Edelbrock thunder series
these carbs allow flow through the primary then when the rpm start to go up the secondary begins to open the your bridges comes to like . with the edelbrock u can adjust when u want you secondary to start opening . u will have the BRAP and the low rpm power and the high rpm power form the bridge and a redline of 8500-9000 so the stock seals can hold up in this application

If u go 48ida u can change ventures unlike the 4barrles (this affects low rpm drivability )u can make more power with the 48/51ida but it will be at a cost of drivability . The ida is a full out race carb that ppl just make steerable . but the 4 barrels like the edelbrock 650CFM (for the 13bbp) can make good power when called up on and still have good low end power

something to think about it all depends on the application race or street

some thing to think about

oh for the edelbrock to fit on the stock manigold u need to make an adapter plate any machine shop can do this or u can try it your self

OR

a Racing beat Holly manifold can work (the adapter is the easier and cheaper way to go )

The edelbrock is a cheaper carb than the webers and usually works straight off the shelf no need for jets etc but u can get a jetting kit for like 50 USD if u want there are some pics around the internet on those rx7 forums showing how to mod the manifold and make the adapter just search for edelbrock on the forums and u will get some info
