Panerai's are nice, but looks to commanding on the wrist imo. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, the James Bond Model is hella sweet

If you like skeleton watches, the ZENITH Mega Port Royal Open Grande is one bad ass watch as well:

Or one of my personal fav's, UBOAT Flight Deck

or Thousands of Feet

It all comes down to your personal taste,i think when picking watches, only the individual could really put their finger on what suits them best.

watch selection is a bit like clothes, different styles for different occasions.....
personally if i was told i could only have one watch for the rest of my life, no matter the price......it would be an omega speedmaster.......
something like this.........

its not bold or exotic or anything......just simple

The hublot f1 king power real bad.
Watches are also an investment. When buying a good quality watch, one should look at those that maintain or increase their value.

agreed that they are an investment, and if you can afford it, its not a bad one either. i personally wont be bothered if its value drops or increases, what matters to me the most is reliability and precision.....
for example, i've got a digital/analogue g-shock that cost about $700, after 5 years of being subjected to oil, gas, solvents, diesel, tar, countless chemicals, welding, steam, seawater, hot, cold, humid and dry conditions and prob a lot more, its cost me one battery replacement and about $20USD in parts (resin band and resin bezel) and it still functions like the day it was bought......its great at timekeeping (about 5 or 6 seconds a month), compared to some high end watches that are about +/-3 seconds a day.....

i'm not saying that is the best watch in the world, its just that, a lot of the brands carry big price tags and look good, but aren't very good at doing what they are made for......at the end you really have to research a particular model before purchasing.

I actually am very much into watches..
Have some nice pieces from rolex, tag, Roger dubuis, jaeger, breitling, rado, oris,Jacob, cartier.

As someone mentioned, each has a different purpose(just like clothes), depending on the event/occasion etc.
