What causes engine light to come on.

Postby mikey_v » November 21st, 2010, 2:18 pm

My sister's 05 NZE corolla keeps getting a problem. The engine lioght keps coming on. At first the mechanic thought it was a malfunction with a sensor and changed it. Problem did not go away. Diagnostic tests says that its the spped sensor, we got a used one and changed it, we couldn't find a new opne, and light went pout for a while then came back on.

Anybody ever experienced this before and if so any suggestions.

Or and if anybody knows where to source a new speed sensor for an 05 NZE corolla would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is a stupid question, but have you tried Toyota Trinidad and Tobago Limited for the speed sensor?

There is a power seller on the forum that deals in Toyota parts. I think his/her name is Toyolink. You should send him/her a PM with your request. Give him/her the chassis number of the vehicle when sending your request.
