tried to "disconnect" a few customers an they would pretend not to be home. The black box has the ability to remote disconnect but I don't think the silver boxes have the same feature.

excellent!

EDIT: 1uhh.. well i emailed them last night late.. and shockingly (well for a service in Trinidad) i just got a call from them! that was fast!
They told me my order was cancelled... since May... i just started to laugh. Anyway, she said she will email me the invoice again (lol i remembered mitch's post) and go through the usual.

Ohh.. and yes we get the deal for pay 9 months and get 3 months free so it's 1575*1.15= $1812.00 for the year.

I actually don't mind this at all! It broke down maybe 3 times for the year (far less than flow) and it is still $600 cheaper than Flow and we get some additional channels and now we got nick! why not! (Sorry flow, didn't mean to brace yuhl, your net is still the best anyway!)

And on top of that excellent service!

She was saying that those who got the deal before was a test service, it was 500 person in all apparently (i think it's more) so i'm doubt we'd see a deal like pay 6 months and get 6 months free for ~$1300.

I was one of the persons who got the deal when it was still a test service, paid $1100 for a year and 6 months, the 6 months came free as a complimentary tester. But now I wouldn't mind if they remove ISAT and put something more 'watchable'.I mean it not all that bad but still.

Green Dot TV good so far. I took the monthly package with 2 additional boxes. I got a black Topfield box instead of the silver one. My bro has the silver one as he had GDTV since last year. What I noticed is that we have the RS232 with both RCA and composite jacks. My LCD HDTV has both but I get better quality using the composite as opposed to RCA. GD so cheap I asked if they could take back the RCA and give me a composite and the rep said no I have to buy it on the outside. WTF? anyway, I want HDMI so these GD people must upgrade these chinese boxes fast.

The EPG GUI is sheit and the remote control is flimsy. Imagine, a universal remote can't work with a GD box. Sometimes when the weather is terrible I have no choice but to switich to DVD or Internet as I won't bother to call the tech dept. All they tell you to do is unplug the box or reboot it and do an auto-scan etc....The BBQ grill looking antenna is silly but I have a question to you gurus out there....since they say its Digital TV how come they using analogue RCA and composite cables to feed the signal to your TV? It doesn't make sense to me, so the box acting like a digital to analogue converter? What about DVR?

The only reason why I took GD was due to its low price and nice channel line-up other than that, if some other company offers me something better I gone. 1 more thing, these GD bills are so stupid, they say I have to pay a month in advance and when I get a bill I don't see the previous balance? I'm confused by that and their billing system sucks. I just got September bill and I have to pay November bill but haven't got that yet so it means I have to make a lump sum payment?

Anyone has Ketan Patel's email address?....website says he's the boss. He sounds India Indian to me, so great we know how cheap they are.

BTW: GD internet sucks, I paid $409.69 for a 1MB package but got that sheit disconnected since April for this year. I had no problems but that is the best speed they could offer. So I went Blink Broadband instead and I pay $149. a month for the same download. I mean why does GD even bother to sell/market internet especially since TSTT launch 3G and 4G Blink on the Go turbo?

greendot is your worst option for net... you can see my GDTV review on page 3 i think...

Not sure who is the boss.

I wish i had the black one... its just rca's here. :(

wrt to bad weather... i'm just gonna LOL. Never had bad service cuz of bad weather.. only the channels they thief from DTV goes down. Recently with the solar flares that did have some issues though. but compared to Flow and Blink (see the blink thread)... pfftt GDTV FTW.

I dunno why they bother with net though.. but i know of only one person who actually likes there net. (he lives... far far away... lmao)

BTW you shoulda take the year long package.. i took that.. n worry free for a year! for 1800 its still a nice saving.. and yes their payment system kinda rough.. see my posts prior to 0ct 2009

^^^perhaps I need to remove the BBQ grille from my roof and put it on a 25-30ft pole. But if the rep says it uses RF technology how is it I require a line of sight to the GD's tower? Then it shouldn't matter! It should work fine just like FM/AM radio band regardless. Never a dull moment with GD, IPTV will replace all just now...

I just wished that we didnt have to use a proxy for Hulu and all.. In any case only mom watches Zeetv lol... so i guess until zeetv streams with subs i hadda rely on providers

But u should check your signal tho.. same place where u go to search it's there... i get around -61dBm. Lower is better.

wow if it that low then your service should not have been activated in the first place.
Make a report to GD Tech support they will send the same contractor if they still on board to re-check cable run, antenna pointing and remove everything if it not possible to get better signal
