some pros & cons of GD that i can think of right now, feel free to add...

pros:

1. showtime & starz
2. mtv hits (actually shows music vids)
3. reception is actually quite good. flow shows like crap by me especially when rain falls

cons:

1. Discovery channel is the latin feed apparently (no shark week?! wtf! )
2. needs channels like: warner, E!, abc family, G4...
3. price increase and no new channels like those mentioned above? no thanks!

GD misses the point that in the early years of providing a service you have to work hard to keep your existing customers happy in order to build brand/service loyalty.

i paid for the year in advance with one extra box, how much do i have to pay for a next year of service ?

So bad weather- choppy channels, and an increase in a year?
Flow only increased prices of their basic cable once in the past 5 or more years If Im not mistaken.....

Just got a call from them saying that my subscription expires in 30 days and wanted to know if I would renew and they quoted the above mentioned rates so I told them I will think about it and give them my answer in one week.I understand what 'year in advance' is but what is 'additional year in advance',does that mean like a 2 year subscription? I also inquired about adding another box to my subscription if I renew and the csr said that they are still working on the cost of doing this and couldn't give me a rate at the time. I'm seriously thinking about renewing but I'm hoping that if I do they add 1.Nickelodeon(American not LA)
2.I can atleast get a second box
and 3. They get their closed captioning working like it used to work when I now got the service.

they told me on three occasions that they do not have a year in advance promotion for the second box......

xconvic - write them an email and demand NICK....I and a couple other users did this in the hope that they would add this channel.......

The images on my TV is breaking up quite often - sticking -

Anyone else have this problem?

I usually got 99% quality but now it shows 94%......

what quality do you GD users usually get?

well M_2nr switch off your boxes and turn them back on after a minute.....I tried it and it went back to 99% and not stickin any more,,,,B4U music rocks man!!

I just did a Auto Search n it seems to have fixed it.

TIN TV was stuttering and now it playing good.

EDIT: it start back already. will try power cycling

people this is caused when the space satellites an ground stations electronics was affected by the solar flare storm last week.........

it will go away soon enough

Turns out it is the same $1600 you paying just like it was for the first promotion.......where u pay for 6mths get 6mths free but you had to pay for installation......

Waiting for a better deal, hopefully if/whenever Blink Entertainment launches their DVB-T, the service will be cheaper.

Blink Entertainment has launched using copper and fibre to deliver service, I'm talking about going over the air to deliver to the masses at a faster rate.

Yes we got Nickelodeon!!! The kids are gonna be so happy about this,,,,,,To all those tuners who sent it their emails to GD requesting Nickeloeon,,,....Thanks alot.....

I saw another channel there also I Sat but it would really be great if GAme Show network was in the line up....What you guys think?
