It has hit an extreme low :?

And bluespeed, it all depends on the officers, in my time in IATF it was the opposite, i never hit anyone cause i never wanted the same done to myself or my family, however i worked with several members of the TTDF that were extremely aggresive, 3 years after i left there i was still answering complaints that i had no part of.

Kersey Soze, proper administration is vital, i have personally seen an officer who was uc for 12 years be transferred to Court and Process Cell blocks because he arrested the wrong person.

^^^^^Now that is just ah recipe to get ah man killed right there.....
When you do officers that how do you expect them to approach their jobs with high moral and enthusiasm about making a difference in the Police service and the public at large?
That's why I believe the old vindictive farts who are now pulling the strings need to resign/retire and make way for new educated blood.

that's what were trained for,.... the TTR were there as a Tactical support for police and that's it!....no diplomatic role or anything.....

So let me ask you a Question?..... Remember police officers are the head on a joint patrol.

If so, on any patrols were you the senior officer?.....why did you allowed the soldiers to act like that and not address the situation with the 1IC or 2IC ?

bluespeed, in the beginning the working relationship between the police and soldiers were strained at best, despite being senior there was no clear demarcation as to who was in charge, basically i instructed my charges and the lance corporal instructed his own, i bear no animosity for what they did, i felt pity that men who were trained for a particular purpose would be taken from their element and given a totally strange task. From my understanding things have changed drastically.

Call me a pu-c but i don't like conflict, i been trained to avoid it as far as practicable, and going to their 2nd lieutenant wasn't an option, i would rather work it out than get men in trouble.

Nah blue no ignorance on your part, see the thing is i know of the lifestyle of the ttdf, my training on the other hand was not as regimented, i was trained to make on the spot decisions, soldiers are trained to follow instructions to a T.
It's only natural for a soldier when observing a wrong to follow his chain of command and report it.
