that is an alpine Type R 10" and either 2-8"selenium/eminence and bullets or 2-6" and bullets.any advice would be appreciated. already have amp and sub.
if you already have the sub and amp, then instead of the Pro audio, get a component set.
run the components in parallel off one channel of the amp run the sub off the other. should sound a bit better because the passives should help ease a little of the crossover control issues you would have.
The Type R would only be getting approx 300 rms if its dual 4, but it would still get pretty loud.
a partner suggested i get another amp also.he said i can use the t600-2 for bass by bridging it to 2 ohms.is this the best option for the bass?alpine is dual 4ohms good components cost more than the pro audio speakers though, firewall.good idea though.
thanks man.(1) it should not burn @2ohm bridged.cause i saw the same specs on RF site that firewall is indicating to me.(2)would the sub get sufficient power if it runs in series to 8ohm and bridge to 600rms @4ohm? thANKS FOR ANY MORE INFO ON THIS TOPIC
you would get averagely 300rms bridged if u run the amp at 8ohm which is only half the rated power of the sub.
my advice to you would be to try running the amp at 2ohm for the sub but make sure you monitor the temperature. if the thermal protection comes on in the amp then you would definately know that the ohmage is too low. you can also use a fan to control the heat. this amp requires a 150amp external fuse so i'm positive it packs a punch at 2ohm
the birthsheet for mine says it does 834 wrms bridged @ 4ohm
