It is possible. They have said Apple has a 2nd 4th generation iPhone prototype which looks more like the current 2G/3G/3GS.

i can't wait for tmrw. I will have to beg the admin for the wifi code though :(

I have mixed feelings. If Gizmodo is allowed into WWDC, im SURE that was a setup job (the leak). I also dont know if Apple long enough to say if they'd drop the same shell or the 2nd one.

Do a restore. I assume this is another phone? I noticed mines on the 2G was dying REL quick. It used to last 2 days on standby. Restored and got almost 2 weeks standby.

NOTE: on my 3GS it made no difference when i recently restored. It has to do with any extra tweaks you got running and stuff in the background. If it's also an old phone

DAMN! Can you upload the vcf to the said device? what u can do is sync the iphone contacts to Outlook or any means, and convert it to vcf.

See here:

The keynote will start at 10AM PT on Monday, June 7th. Here's a handful of timezone information, just in case you hate doing the math.

07:00AM - Hawaii
10:00AM - Pacific
11:00AM - Mountain
12:00PM - Central
01:00PM - Eastern (Image)
06:00PM - London
07:00PM - Paris
09:00PM - Moscow
02:00AM - Tokyo (June 8th)

------

Apple’s WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2010 starts today with the Keynote address by Steve Jobs at 10am Pacific. (1pm Trinidad time)

Based on the banner “The centre of the app universe”, it looks like the theme for this years WWDC will revolve around Apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

So what else can we expect Steve Jobs to announce during his Keynote address based on the news and rumors we’ve heard so far.

Fourth Generation iPhone (iPhone G4):

It is widely speculated that Steve Jobs will unveil the next generation iPhone.

iPhone OS 4.0:

We expect Steve Jobs to announce the release date for Apple’s next generation iPhone OS – iPhone OS 4.0.

We could expect Apple to announce features in iPhone OS 4.0 especially for the new iPhone such as video conferencing capabilities.

Steve Jobs could also announce that AT&T will allow iPhone tethering with the release of iPhone OS 4.0 based on AT&T’s announcement earlier in the week.

Since Apple hasn’t released the golden master version of iPhone OS 4.0, we expect to release iPhone OS 4.0 sometime next week.

Apple had announced that iPhone OS 4.0 will be available to iPad users in fall, so it is likely that iPhone OS 4.0 SDK for iPad could be released at WWDC.

iPhone OS 3.2.1 or iPhone OS 3.3 for iPad:

Ever since the iPad launched in April, there have been several reports about users noticing Wi-Fi connectivity related issues with their iPad.

Apple had updated its support page with additional information that offers details on a new set of workarounds to help iPad users find a solution to the Wi-Fi connectivity problem. More crucially, Apple had also noted that there are a few more potential issues, which shall be corrected with a future iPad software update.

So we expect Apple to announce the release date for iPhone OS 3.2.1 or iPhone OS 3.3 for iPad.

End of AT&T’s iPhone Exclusivity:

We’ve heard several rumors that Apple might end AT&T’s iPhone exclusivity in the US with the launch of iPhone 4G.

It is widely speculated that Apple has been working on two iPhones, one of them for Verizon. Apple reportedly has placed an order for 10 million Verizon iPhones with Pegatron.

Verizon is apparently also working with an ad agency on the iPhone campaign.

There are rumors that Verizon iPhone might be available during the holiday shopping season. But Verizon recently commented that they had no plans to carry the iPhone in the immediate future.

We’ve also reported that iPhone HD or iPhone 4G might come to Sprint this month.

Cloud-based iTunes:

As you know, Apple shutdown Lala, the online music streaming service it acquired in December last year on June 1st.

While there has been no official communication from Apple so far about how the company plans to integrate Lala with the company's own product offerings, it is being speculated that Apple may use Lala's technology to build a cloud-based iTunes service.

We’ve heard rumors that Steve Jobs will announce the cloud-based iTunes service at WWDC.

During the Q&A session at All Things Digital, Steve Jobs had said:

"You want to share your content that you bought amongst your various devices. You can do that today with a wire. You can't do that without a wire. We need to work harder on that. We need to do better. Anytime soon? We're working on it."

Bing Coming to iPhone:

TechCrunch had reported that according to multiple sources, Apple is likely to announce a new search-deal for iPhone OS 4.0, which will see Bing replacing Google as the default search engine on the iPhone.

We don’t expect Apple to replace Google as the default search engine on the iPhone but Bing might probably be added as an option so users who prefer Bing can select it. Currently users have an option to change the default search engine from Google to Yahoo.

MobileMe Free:

We’ve heard rumors that Apple will make MobileMe free.

BGR had reported couple of days back that some MobileMe users are seeing their account type switch from "Individual" to "Full Member". Does it mean MobileMe will turn into a freemium service from Monday? We’ll soon find out.

Visual Studio App Development Tools for iPhone and Mac OS:

We had rumors that Microsoft may announce the launch of a new version of Visual Studio 2010 that will allow developers to write applications for iPhone OS and Mac OS.

New Apple TV:

We’ve heard rumors that the new Apple TV will be based on iPhone OS and the new architecture will bring Apple's indigenously built A4 CPU chip to the device.

Safari Extensions:

There are some murmurs that Apple might debut Safari 5 for desktop computers at WWDC, which might include an extension framework. It would be amazing if Apple brings extensions to iPhone’s Safari browser as well.

The fact that Apple will be announcing a new iPhone today is about as big a secret as the fact that there’s a lot of oil in the Gulf of Mexico right now. What we didn’t know until now was the name of the product, and if photos that were leaked this morning are any indication, the new device is going to be called the iPhone HD.

Pursuitist received photos from a “European insider at TBWA/Chiat/Day,” the advertising agency for Apple worldwide. We’ll send you to Pursuitist to view the photos in deference to their find, but we are showing you a photo (above) snapped inside of Moscone Center that displays the iPhone HD.

Pursuitist also notes that the device will be offered in all white and all black, although the Moscone photo appears to show the phone in a rainbow of colors. Other features include a front-facing camera with video chat and an upgrade to iChat, better battery life, a camera with higher resolution (and a flash), and advanced apps management and multitasking with iPhone OS 4.0.

Of course, this could be a last-minute “leak” to throw off all of us bloggers, but the consensus seems to be that the new iPhone will carry the iPhone HD moniker. Only during today's WWDC keynote will we know for sure.

------

Blacksn0w, an extremely popular tool to unlock iPhone for iPhone OS 3.1.3 and iPhone OS 3.1.2 had been successfully ported to work with the latest beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 and baseband 05.11.07.

However, since it worked only with baseband 05.11.07, it meant that users who had accidentally upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1.3 or iPhone OS 4.0 (when it is released) will not be able to unlock their iPhone.

It also meant that users who bought an iPhone with the latest iPhone OS (iPhone OS 3.1.3 or later) won’t be able to use Blacksn0w to unlock their iPhone.

MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev Team has just tweeted some good news for users who fall in this category:

People still ask, but sure, with both 4.0 & iPhoneHD coming out this month, so too will the 3.1.3/4.0 carrier unlocks :)

So looks like they’ve managed to unlock baseband 05.12.01 that was bundled in iPhone OS 3.1.3 and also the new baseband 05.13.04 bundled in the latest beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 – iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4.

Man, like Apple leaking just as bad as BP in the Gulf of Mexico...

Photos of a new wireless multitouch "Magic Trackpad" input device -- an unannounced product rumored for months -- leaked Monday before Apple's WWDC 2010 keynote.

Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky revealed pictures of the device, which shares a similar design with Apple's wireless Bluetooth keyboard. The device appears to offer a large, multitouch input surface for Mac hardware.

"What we appear to be looking at is a brand new input device that Apple has dreamed up which connects to desktops (and laptops, if you like) via Bluetooth, much like the Apple Keyboard," Topolsky wrote. "If you take what you see in the photos at face value, it would seem that the folks in Cupertino are making a play for finger-based input in a big way -- taking the work they've done on Mac laptops and the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and translating it to the desktop realm."

The images also came with a tip that the device would support handwriting recognition, along with "every feature you can find on a Magic Mouse (and possibly features of a MacBook Pro trackpad)." The information reportedly came from a person who claimed to be personally testing it.

The pictures would seem to suggest that the hardware, first predicted by Daring Fireball's John Gruber last October, could be announced by Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs at today's Worldwide Developers Conference keynote

Image

The product name may already be known, too, as Apple filed a trademark for ownership of the name "Magic Trackpad" in February That naming corresponds with Apple's Magic Mouse, a multitouch device introduced by Apple last fall. The entire surface of the Magic Mouse can track independent fingers for activities like scrolling and zooming, much like an iPhone or iPod touch.

Image

The multi-touch trackpad was first introduced to the MacBook Air family of notebooks, though it was later brought to the MacBook Pro and MacBook line of portable computers.

Nope. No stream. Many tech related media would be blogging it though. Apple usually posts a video of the event later on in the night. They also have a Keynote Podcast where you could download it on.
