WTK: Iridium Plugs on QG15DE

I want to change my plugs from stock to iridium on my QG15DE in my nissan AD Wagon.....will this help improve my performance????? And shudd i go wid the

NGK Iridium IX or the Denso iridium

Also looking wat are the price per plug......

performance wise u wont notice anything really but they are longer lasting and work great been using them for 5 years on my qg15de

yep, sure does last real long, (almost 4 years now) also noticed a different sound from the engine at wot when dey was installed, a lil meaner :roll: not sure what that relates to, lol

you can use the ngk iridiums. i have them on mine. ngk i believe are better suited for nissan. got it for around $50 a plug but you might pay more cause i got them from a friend

See if this helps. Personally though I'd stick to original Nissan ....but that's just me.

@someone904 is the meanness in sound proportional to the meanness in performance?

"Many people think that simply supplying more spark to the firing tip can and will combust more fuel. What they don't understand is that most newer cars' engines are so efficient that they are already burning all of the available fuel. Simply adding more spark voltage can't burn more fuel because there is no more fuel to burn.

When a stock or near-stock engine is given a fresh set of spark plugs, peak efficiency is restored. The power gains that come from this restored state of tune are usually minimal. Any company that tells you that their spark plug will provide significant gains in power in a stock or near-stock engine is making blanket statements that may not be supportable."

I using the NGK Irridum IX...they really do last long
