Skoda Octavia: erratic idle

I have a 2006 Skoda Octavia, 1.6L MPi suffering from an erratic idle and a sporadic rev while idling of about 400 rpm. I used a VAGCOM and got the fault code 18671: P2239- O2 Sensor Pump Current Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 Short-Circuit to B+ Sporadic.

Could it be a Vacuum leak (as a sound is coming from near the throttle body though sprays with carb cleaner failed to show it), or a failed O2 Sensor?

Can anyone help me rectify this problem?

I have read of a similar code where the problem was the O2 sensor....

Thanks. The thing is my fuel efficiency is still good so I'm thinking it may not be the O2 sensor...I'lltry the spec forum.

This type of Oxygen sensor problem is faced many times by the Skoda Octavia car holder's. The car manufacturer had noticed this type of other problems in this car. So after all they made the up-gradations and finally launched thenew Skoda Octavia with all new features. The outlook has not given much heed on this car. Rather than its exterior, the interior of this car is given more advanced features/specifications. The car is launched will 7 variants.
