We need some Balance!!

Postby civic minded » April 19th, 2010, 10:32 pm

Ah find the forums pro- UNC and pro COP.There aren't any threads that are pro-pnm.

Here is hoping this will bring some balance to the discussions - lets discuss the positive contributions that the current administration has made.

And all you dumb arses - I am not a PNM supporter, so don't label me as such.

Residential Property Rates
With effect 01/10/08 property valued up to $850,000 is exempted from stamp duty.
More than $850,000 but not exceeding $1,250,000 pays 3.0% on the excess.

oh crap sorry that overpass was john humphrey's idea... (UNC) the PNM just took the idea.....

Yes the current gov't did do good. but however is not to say it won't continue...under a new gov't.. But the bad spending kinda overshadowed the good. Just think they built 2 performing arts centres with major cost overruns... centres that weren't desperately needed.. Couldn't the ones we have already been renovated or couldn't it be used to renovate the hospitals whereby increasing patient capacity, standard of treatment and reduce waiting times for the sick???

7. they are comfortable that drug dealers have no problem with the PNM GORTT.

9. they are very concerned about the difficulties that are faced in the hospitals.
10. they are satisfed that the PTSC has all our communities covered.
11. they have not alienated anyone in T&T.
12. they have the best performing ministers ever.
13. they have built a great NAPA for the divine voices.

16. they have proposed to bring back the train that grandpa always booasted about.
17. they have successfully trained all via gate to get jobs in the geat diversified economy they have created.

19. they have finally found the formula to fix laventille, 300mil.

There is a severe shotage of staff at the hospitals in Trinidad. Building more hospitals will guarantee an influx of Indian/ Nigerian/Phillipino doctors and nurses. They have stopped paying doctors for working on weekends (yes doctors HAVE to give their time for free on weekends, to prevent people from kicking the bucket, especially in the ICU's) They have stopped funding of improvement of hospitals, but want to build more.

The hospital promise is very unlikely to materialize, or help the health care system if it actually does.

The people on this forum has computers and internet.
PNM supporters don't have (or cannot afford) computers and internet, (let alone a cellphone)
That may be a contributing factor to the Anti-PNMness in the forum.

I might get flamed for this but its the truth.

pro PNM people, pro PNM!!!! keep it on track

-tnt cards, i find its a nice gesture, but promotes dependency, plus too many people have who do not need to
-fast patrol boats, but if they tell them to patrol away from the black boats routes, what use would that be
-trying to out source labor to get the same quality for less or greater quality for more
- establishment of the stabilization and heritage fund where to have a rainy day fund, but we should improve our debt reduction
-rural transport, but they should allow ph drivers when they not obstructing the hired cars as the ph boys and dem does facilitate a much appreciated service by all who use it
- mega farm, but the better idea was not to build on the caroni lands and develop diverse agricultural ventures for food security and export capibility
