E7 Parts

Postby De Dragon » March 21st, 2010, 12:40 am

Where are the best places locally, and "foreign" to get Evo VII parts? For foreign I'd prefer out of the US, but its not absolutely necessary. Please list places that you have actually ordered stuff from please! Thanks

it is slightly dificult (not as much as the difficulty for E6 and under parts........hard to find!) to get parts in the US for the E7 and under as the US only got Evos from the 8 upward. you will get parts such as at the websites Dion76 listed but not as much as the newer models what you will get is mostly those parts that are common between them and parts from companies that specialize in EVOs. the real place for EVO parts 1-10 is the UK as they have alot of OEM replacement parts and aftermarket parts.

in the US too they have alot of quality stuff on www.amsperformance.com

E7 parts are very easy. Gerrard from Teknet can source anything genuine Mitsu, and more likely than not will already have it in stock if you call him. I've bought (for the VII and the VIII) rotors, seals, steering ends, belts, oils, plugs, BOV all kinda things man. Would definitely endorse.

Jody is great if you need to get a hard to find body part or mechanical item.

Thanks CBH, and everyone else for that matter. Obviously, I'd like to keep it local. Not looking presently at too much stuff aside from normal consumables like oils, filters, clutch etc. But its nice to know where to go if you happen to need a part that's not the run of the mill kind.

The E8 and E7 are basically the same mechanically. This makes parts sourcing in the US very easy.

Quite. Only differences so far... for evo VII to VII/ IX (at least what I've seen)

Gear synchros
Headlights (indicator up top)
seat belt for driver and passenger front
undershield, bonnet, front bumper (ovbiously)
fender shields
seat colors

blah blah blah...

If used parts will do, a cheap source for good quality E7-9 engine, gearbox & drivetrain parts is... Link--> eBay.
I got ACD Transfer-case + Pump & Reservoir / Alternator / Starter / Power-steering Pump etc. from E9's doing 37k-48k miles...Great condition! You have to wait for a while...but it works for me!
