Yeah thats the thing about colognes. They vary from skin type to skin type sometimes DRASTICALLY. Didn't do anything for me.

You know as I'm going through that site, I see the images of "Oscar" by Oscar De La Renta, and I remember owning it when I was much younger and basically hating it.

Now that I look back, and I'm older I see the ad campaign and think I was too young/immature to understand it's complexity.

I will get another bottle soon. I think I'm old enough to pull it off.

WOW great site. Of course it's in french, but I'm sure your basic form 3 french class education will be of assistance here in terms of navigation.

They even have a FILM section with user posted video campaigns for most frags. out there. This is the '09 campaign for seemingly everyone's favorite Le Male by JPG

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/E9pDAkuVuyw&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed>

The purpose of the ads (besides obvious promotion) is to capture the true essence of the scent, and the type of man/woman and situation he may encounter while wearing such a fragrance. Anyone who has worn Le Male can easily tell you that it's a very warm comforting sensual scent, that women just want to cling onto you for(least for me  ) great for warmer settings.

One of the Maddest Cologne Adverts in a while.
Not only is the advertisement cool, so is the over the top bottle which is actually shaped and styled in the form of a gold bar!

Paco Rabanne : 1 Million

Not sold in the U.S. I'm pretty sure it's sold in T&T tho...

Another reason I liked that sight with the AD campaigns is that you get a sense for what the designers/"noses" wanted to convey with the scent(along with it's branding/naming) and it's great to actually compare that to how the scent actually smells.

For example Kenneth Cole "Black"
You see the ads+name and you think "sexy" "evening" "business casual" kinda look...but it's FAR from anything deep or mysterious...it's actually best worn through out the day, in casual attire  At least on my skin!

i really like the armani mania, good choice there
its fairly mild but really outstanding...women notice it and do comment on how sexy it smells!!

issey, well thats now like the sr20 of colognes...everyone has one!!
