Duane 3NE 2NR, with the new update, the Report function gets updated as well?
I remember seeing on another forum where there is a tick box system implemented.

Like for our case, sold/gone for classifieds. or in ole talk, repost, etc.?

and there is a limit to the number of reports as well.

or did you just make a new account without trying to find out?

For the car section. Can we have something like this?

For example

Toyota > Vehicles
> Parts

Nissan > Vehicles
> Parts

Others > Vehicles
> Parts

Not sure how well that idea would work but I am thinking along the lines of user friendly and organized as possible.

Hope my contribution helped somewhat :D

a Like button and dislike button would be useful in some forums also a different color text in your inbox if you have new messages..

not sure if this an option or not, but will a user be able to delete their entire thread? cause there are numerous threads where the sale is complete but the thread is open (they didn't indicate sold or not) guess that it will free up some of the clutter as well.

i now noticing this thread yes ....

i havent read all d posts here but please separate d cars from d parts which will make it more direct so if u looking for a car to buy go in that section instead of reading each thread title to see if its cars or parts ...this is to help users better too since with both cars & parts being in 1 section if u put a thread there in d morning by d time its midnight ur thread done gone to page 10 ....i dont sell anything in this scetion so its just a suggestion to help other users & viewers

i find u shud limit d PS section to 10 threads - i know they paying for it but when some of them over doing it by having 15-20 threads advertising each item they have then if 2 or 3 PS do that other ppl's posts will reach 2nd or 3rd page really fast ...also allow PS in their section to mumford their own last posts so as to not have 4-5 pages with only "bump" in it ...

although not broken or difficult, a more user friendly search function is an option. Even some tuner-vets don't know how to use the existing search feature.

Integration with social networking tools for alerts, so for instance, if i say 'notify me when a reply is posted' i should have the option to be notified on facebook, twitter, myspace etc.

In stead of people having to post on a thread because they agree by way of bumping they should just be able to check off a thumbs up to bump, this could reduce the thread bump and ultimately thread sizes.

just a few ideas...

could you allow a section for response from buyers/customers to write feedback on powersellers...

just like on ebay.com

because i am sure there are lots a powersellers that promote bad business practices but yet want their items sold.

and also if a powerseller is promoting good business ethics they should also be given feedback.

it will aslo create a general awareness for customers.

just my opinion

^ please read the entire thread before posting

this was dealt with already
http://forums.trinituner.com/forums/vie ... 41#4043041

we cannot allow users to post negative comments on sales.
We will offer a star system, but worded comments will leave room for slander.
Amazon and Ebay can take the risk and responsibility because they are involved in the sale and make money on each transaction - we do dont.

We only sell advertising space.

for this star system.....will it be that users will see the AVERAGE star rating for the seller......or will the see all the submitted star ratings? for instance a person was rated 100 times, and out of that 25 of those ratings were all low and the rest were high which would give 4 out of 5 stars which seems good...........but i would at least like to see that he/she had 25 bad ratings............

^ I am not sure how comprehensive the star rating will be but we will try to make it as informative as possible.

JUst read thru Duane and i think it is a good trust in the future of Trinituner! kudos to you and all involved!

just one suggestion that mod's be advised that they should be on the look out for the users that think its their right to spam someone else thread......if they don't like the tread they can just leave it alone. Everyone has different like and dislikes, ways of thinking so it should be respected.....That is what mod's do!

Bless

Respect

Bigg up TriniTuner 2.0 to 3.0 and beyond

It would be nice if users can delete their entire Thread when something is sold.

Because 99% of the times users type "Please Delete" and its never deleted.

Offcourse they should be using the report button but seems most dont do it.

Just a suggestion. I think having the ability to delete one's own thread will be a huge help out.

what?

Think he means to split the classified into sections by auto manufacturer?
and then into type of vehicles for sale as well as parts.

^^ sounds like it. Will have too much sub-forums thus creating a longer forum index.

I say just

8. Separate the cars from auto parts

but specify naming conventions for topics and enforce such for posts so everything is uniform.

eg: FS:<part name> <vehicle brand>

and not xyz for sale

I would also like to see closer scrutiny of the various classified forums. There are too many people selling lots of stuff and are not powersellers.

yeah...and browsers such as google chrome and Mozilla Firefox already has spell check built in.

and originalbling, made a good point.

Another option to look at is more disciplinary action on members who continues to disregard the rules etc.
eg. 1 week ban to possibly 2 weeks depending on what was done.

Use the Hot Stove method

Oh....create the option for users to change the color and/or appearance of the theme.
I have seen it other websites.

Would V3.0 still be blocked by websense? Or is that only determined by my netwok admin?
