Rodn3y, true eh, but when i bought it, it was cheaper. Signal is ok by me here. Check in the Settings>Channel Info. See if you getting around -65dBm?

if you get -65dBm then you got very weak signal.......
-68dBm is the minimum for you to start to see service.

If you got a eak signal like that some stations will not show and you will get fuzzy sound like what you would get on a wet or crossed telephone line

yes if you see -1dBm you have almost no signal loss........... so if he gets 65dBm how far from the weakest usable signal is that

The power level you are seeing is a negative number. -1 is higher then -5.

-65dbm is more then enough for you to be able to see the picture. Also the figure from the STB is not 100% accurate, it is +/1 2-3dbm. It may not be your power levels but quality levels.

You have a number of options, first you can buy a small active amplifier from radio shack, but you need to be careful as these can distort the signal. The other option you have is to either increase the height of your antenna or to install an antenna with a higher gain (bigger antenna). You could try putting a post on their forum and see if they can advice you more.

Does the signal get messed up on cloudy days like their internet? Thinking about getting it. And does the box come with an HDMI port?

no hdmi port.. i got a different box to the ones that most ppl have and mine has component outputs(red green blue), which is a high def output, as well as the traditional coaxial yellow, red, white and the RF outputs. However, i have a sony 52" bravia 1080p and the picture quality isnt any different for any of the outputs that u decide to use on the box. I still have flow analog as well and i must say, for all those high def tvs out there, neither makes much a difference. I havent had the opportunity to run FLOW's digital service so i dont know if the quality is any better, i've heard it is though, maybe i'll consider that wen i do get that service.. wenever flow decide to make St. Helena digital.
Also there isnt any interference on cloudy days, been running it a while now and never had those problems (TV wise, i dont know abt the internet service). The service is actually great for the price and one should consider it if cost is important for you. Good job Greendot, now all u need to do is provide a high Def service so everyone with high def tvs leave FLOW

They said "soon" when i signed up wrt to HD channels but i dunno how soon is "soon"

got my green dot installed today , so far works great , i didn't got the coship box, seems they dont use these anymore..

the antenna really looks like a BBQ grill... .lol.. but its actually one of the best antennas there is out there.. did some research on it .... fiddling around with it , its hard to hack as its not just FTA it uses serious "Conditional Access" security ... dont have no problem or complaints on the channels but do hope they get some more soon to keep ahead of any competition.

I saw the service on demo in Extra Foods in Grand Bazaar. The girl mentioned that they have a special running where there is a reduced cost for installation if I sign up at the Grocery right there, but when I went back this morning they were not around yet.....I got there too early.

I've noticed over the last week or so, the on screen program guide is not up to mark. If you go to the EPG - most of the channels don't have the line up listed. What's up with that ??!! If you flip through the channels, though, you get it then...

I also actually have two boxes - 1 coship box (connected using composite video to a Sony 32" Trinitron), and 1 of the newer DVB boxes that has the component video output (connected using component video to a Viewsonic 22" LCD/TV). The picture quality on the Viewsonic is acceptable, but not as good as on my Sony TV - which is damn good I must say. Also, one other quirk I've noticed with the new box (DVB) is that when you go to the EPG and you're trying to scroll through the channels, the in-screen channel view also changes at the same time. It doesn't do this with the coship box. This is annoying. Maybe there is a setting to fix this?

Only thing I miss, though, is Speed channel.

i find they sticking i made a request bout three weeks ago and i fulll out a credit card form so they can deduct everything from the cc, up to now nothing i fed up with flow $300 ah mth and half of the channels cant show good they run new cables and i changed the boxes and same thing
