WTK - foreign used dvd/nav/cd player head unit, how to?

HELP! :shock:
just brought in a corolla with a dvd/nav/cd head unit, and have no idea how to use/syncronise.

its an eclipse japanese model

what do i do?

they have safety functions sometimes. for instance some of them play dvd only when the handbrake is up!

what brand is it?

to have the ability to pick up local radio stations you need a inverter, sells for around $150-$200 and can be installed by any audio shop.

Some how the Japanese DVD players are different Format, so cannot play our Dvd's

use a rewritable DVD and add a eg of all formats and see which ones work but yh request kinda vague ....is it that it not comming on or is it that u cannot read the dics or is it that yh cah read the damm thing ....which one!!!

Is this the same as a "band expander" (silver cylinder with two wires) :?:
Tried an expander on JDM McIntosh head unit but it didn't work for channels above FM 100.
Any other "add-on" alternatives... other than a new head unit :?:
