Getting a "flat Spot"

2ners i have a mitsu lancer with the 4G18 SOHC engine, when i'm driving at around 50/60 and i pressout i getting a flatspot/buck then the car picks up, i have cleaned injectors,changed plugs,Cleaned TB, replaced the plug wires, replaced coil packs. anyone ever dealt with this before

did you change the fuel and air filter

Check the lil mesh on the fuel pump inside the tank. Could be clogged. If so yuh may have to clean the tank out.

does the problem always happen or is it a now and then problem. it maybe fuel related as the fella ^^^ said it sounding like the pump filter or the pump not pumping enough fuel

all the time, tried a new pump but same thing, tried changing air filter,no air filter and same thing

have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? check it for broken wires also

Some areas to start trouble shooting:

1. Gas filters (if you have one in the tank)
2. Check your sensors (do a diagnostic)
3. Check your distributor and sparkplug wires

scanned they say its the step up motor or something like that.......

i used to drive a bluebird where the accelarator cable was worn and caused a flat spot
when u press out it happens


check ur cable or try changing it :idea: :idea:
