WTK: 4AGE 16v to 20v swap (mounting points)

Postby Shaquon » January 14th, 2009, 11:10 am

I'm replacing a 4A-GE 16-valve with a 4A-GE 20-valve silvertop (from levin) in my AE80. My mech is telling me that the mounting points look different.

Should this be the case?

I thought it was going to be a straight swap :?

depends on what engine you had before. If it was an A series engine then it's a straight swap. If it was an E series engine then the drivers side mount needs to be brought forward.

fabricators
mechanics
straighteners
painters
tuners
tyre men
A/C techs
alignment mech
road side mech pipers
mango tree mechs
etc etc etc
