NEED A PROFESSIONAL DIAGNOSIS (SOLVED!)

Postby ^^!SPAWN!^^ » June 2nd, 2008, 7:31 am

Hey guys , I need one of you to please help me diagnose a problem with my QG13DE AD Wagon .

Problem is that I did a complete service , but somehow the car takes very long to build up speed , it's worse when the a/c is on , and it still feels kinda lazy , can anyone tell me what causing this ???

^^ Was getting it before the service , tried everything :-

The wrong plugs were bought , had to replace them .
The car idling normal , but it hard starts in the morning sometimes , when it starts it feels like it wanna cut off but that's prob how the engine cold , (I could be wrong).
The service included Plugs , Oil Change , Tranny Oil Change , Cleaning of the old air filter (which i changed recently) .

check your battery/alternator make sure it charging properly
make sure the poles clean and your ground is not oxidised and properly attached to an unpainted spot on the body
qg13 is not electronic timing though? do they have a distributor?
replace the plug wires also

is the Check Engine Light on?

have you done a diagnostic scan on it?

cuz really it could be anything eh...I would've thought a/c idle-up valve but u said it's there even without the a/c...if it's affecting moving performance as well, it could be related to airflow, but have it scanned to be sure

UPDATE
A diagnostic scan was done last Saturday and it came to the conclusion that the Air Flow Sensor is failing , major problem is i'm having trouble locating one . By the way after parking up I took out the sensor to check how many pins it have and it was extremely hot ! Is it suppose to be like that ?

Yes i took it out after running the engine , if I have a cold air intake shouldn't it be cool there instead of hot ?

lol...noooooooooooooooooooo

everything gets hot when the engine is on, meng!

there was a 2nr who had a similar problem recently (an Almera methinx) and it turned out a broken wire in the MAF sensor harness was the cause...a lil soldering work cleared it right up...can't remember how he arrived at that tho

see if u can find the thread..maybe your solution is as simple as his
