Good going man (or woman, whichever you are). I wish there were more people like you out there.

Almost all the dogs I have now are what my wife and I picked up off the roadside or strays where we work. I have no intention of ever buying a dog again. If I need to get a dog, I will go out on the street and find one.

I can't understand why people cannot find the money to spay or neuter their dogs, but could find use for it on some frivolous expense.

A nation's development should be judged, not by how much money they have, but by how they treat animals.

Trinidad and Tobago will never become a developed nation, at least not in the next few decades.

Six months ago a lion named Jupiter was rescued from a life of abuse and malnutrition in a traveling circus in Colombia. According to an AP report, a woman named Ana Julia Torres, who runs a shelter for injured and mistreated animals in a poor neighborhood in Cali, Colombia, saved him, along with 800 other "recovering creatures."

"Here we have animals that are lame, missing limbs, blind, cross-eyed, disabled," said Torres. "They come to us malnourished, wounded, burned, and stabbed, with gunshots."

People are shocked and amazed to see Jupiter lavish long hugs and kisses on his rescuer, notes a report on Channel 6 News in Florida, who carried the story. "It is amazing to see an animal like that be so sweet and affectionate," said Torres. "This hug is the most sincere one that I have received in my life."

That's a kind hearted thing to do. Very commendable.

Interesting that some people are chastising the people in the area for turning a blind eye. Perhaps they saved a couple of animals before and have decided to draw the line? As well as they may be mean hearted souls and couldn't care less. Who knows?

Hmm...I wonder how many times these said critics have turned a blind eye to the wants of suffering animals and fellow human beings in need?...:?

It is so good to hear that he is pulling through!! Part of it is the vet expertise, but most of it is really u and your family that makes them better faster...and u got a loyal friend for life. :)
