No cons so far. Remember, the system board isn't being modified. Its the drive itself so you don't have to worry about XBox live detecting the mod and banning you.
Again, since the mod is not on the board, that means you don't have to worry about damage to it in any way. So far, the biggest issue we've had to deal with concerning the drive has been the switch to keep it closed giving a little problem, but thats an easy fix.
All in all, considering a new game costs over $500.00 and a used one costs less than $120.00, the long term benefits are worth it.
Think of it this way. By the time you've bought 20 games you'll have saved enough to buy a completely new 360 should anything go wrong.
