Well, I had to strap them down with something, LOL. That's only for transportation - in use they're placed on the roof. I'm actually surprised at how good they sound. Speakon terminals on the speakers and extra Alpine connectors for connection to the amps makes it very simple and foolproof to put the whole jig together. The tops were something I put together in somewhat of a hurry for my daughter's Xmas party and the sub was a test box I built to try out a tapped horn alignment. The combination sounds so good that I'm going to redesign the subwoofer box to fit a little better in the trunk - the current box threatens to take out the back glass every time I go over a bump
