What in the hell is that? The interior looks weird.......I'm trying to figure out which interior is worse between that and the new civic. If you want to see a compact interior, go look at what the 2007 Toyota Corolla and 2007 Mazda 3 have to offer. Even the 2007 Hyundai Elantra has cleaner looks! I would not doubt the quality but the fit and finish looks tacky and there is no way the suspension tuning can match that of the 2007 Ford Focus and Mazda 3. In terms of exterior styling, at least they are trying hard to beat the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Ion. This new Lancer took styling cues from the "shark mouth" Galant. The verdict is that the Lancer is an exceptional compact car but it is about 3 years too late. My 2007 rankings (and you would realise that it is consistent with the first world automotive press) are as follows:
