Penal had water rising. And given the trend, today would have had flood all now , but people saying the water went down as quickly as it rose.
It didn't look like much works was done since the election , but the little they did , was enough to buck 8 years of rain/flood pattern.

this was just first rain which ground absorbs a lot
it’s the second rains which could cause the real flooding
in 2018 it was a week of constant rains with no flooding a then a few days later a heavy rain flooded out everybody overnight

That crossed my mind was well, but the rain fall was over a few days , so thst negated the absorption component .

We getting another tc tonight so tomorrow will we see how it goes.

This rainfall is similar to 2018, build up was a few days and dread flood on Saturday.
Yesterday, today, tomorrow and rivers are already ridiculously high.

in 2018 we get a red level alert and there was widespread flood on both major highways - couldn't get home in arima from POS - had to stay by an aunt in Petit Valley.

Ian Alleyne FB page

Owner of marooned Chevy has been located.
The man's vehicle was submerged in floodwater at Trantril Road, St Augustine earlier today.
He was believed to be missing; however, it has been confirmed that he is alive and safe at home.
